Chemical Engineer

The selected candidate will be required to:

• Sell chemicals to leading manufacturing and institutional customers
• Develop sales opportunities by soliciting new accounts and growing current accounts
• Monitor inventory  and expand awareness of our chemicals by communicating benefits and uses effectively to customers
• Conduct training on proper use of products and equipment
• Work closely with current and prospective customers to understand their business needs and make recommendations for improvement
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and prospective customers,
• Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving challenges promptly
• Engage in problem solving and providing recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong presentation, organization and time management skills
• Strong negotiation and sales closing skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite
• Be self-motivated and target-oriented
• Be willing to work extended hours and travel extensively
• Possess a reliable motor vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSc. Chemical Engineering, BSc. Chemistry or BSc. Biochemistry
• Have a minimum of 3 years sales/technical experience
