 Channel Manager – Traditional Trade

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Channel Manager – Traditional Trade is responsible for the execution of all Traditional Trade, channel-specific activities for the PCJ and Red Stripe portfolios. The position is expected to contribute to the distribution and volume objectives of both portfolios and the targeted cost per case by facilitating the efficient execution within timelines and budget while managing the performance of a team of sales professionals. 

Major Responsibilities  

  • Consistently meets monthly and annual distribution, volume, and cost-per-case targets.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to drive growth, resolve issues, and ensure transparent communication.
  • Plans and executes promotional activities for the parent companies effectively and collaborates with the Distribution Centre to deliver premium service within timelines and budget.
  • Oversees and supports the Commercial Team Leaders and Pre-Sales Executives, manages staff training, and handles day-to-day team operations alongside the Sales Analyst.
  • Handles monthly collections, reduces aged debt, and prepares, analyses, and presents reports on volume, distribution coverage, and sales effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance with Safety Management Principles, company policies, and vehicle regulations, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. MBA favourable
  • A minimum of Five (5) years of work experience in a Sales role, preferably Field Sales with 2 years in a senior sales role
  • Own or have full access to a reliable Motor Vehicle as well as a valid Driver’s License
