Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to oversee kitchen operations, prepare high-quality meals, and ensure an excellent dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate should have strong culinary expertise, creativity, and leadership skills to manage kitchen staff and maintain food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Develop new recipes and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Monitor food portions and presentation to meet restaurant standards.

2. Kitchen Management

  • Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Ensure smooth kitchen operations, even during peak hours.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.

3. Food Safety & Hygiene

  • Enforce strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulations.
  • Monitor food storage and handling to prevent contamination.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections and ensure equipment is clean and functional.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Manage food costs and reduce waste through proper portioning and inventory management.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ensure profitability while maintaining food quality and customer satisfaction.

5. Team Leadership & Training

  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and efficiency.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Handle kitchen staff scheduling, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity in menu development and food presentation.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations.

Work Conditions
