A retail, manufacturing and distribution company is seeking to identify a suitably qualified individual to join its management team as a Catering Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

    • Achieve growth and sales targets set by soliciting catering contracts.
    • Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base.
    • Prepare annual sales and expenses budget for catering function.
    • Track and maintain accurate records and report on catering expenses.
    • Create and maintain catering menu offerings.
    • Gather customer requirements and propose catering options.
    • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure they are adhered to.
    • Coordinate and oversee the food and service preparation for events.
    • Ensure effective and adequate human resources are in place to execute catering.
    • Ensure compliance with food, health and safety regulations.
    • Ensure detailed information related to the planning and execution of catering is communicated in a clear, concise and timely manner to all stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experience& Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Food Service Management or any related field
  • 5 years experience in Catering Management and/or any other Food Service related position, in a managerial capacity.
  • Ability to work and communicate with people at all levels
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
  • Action and result oriented
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Application knowledge of MS Office
  • Hands-on experience with creating menus from scratch
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decision under stressful circumstances
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays
