The incumbent will provide cashing support for the effective and efficient management of the company’s accounting activities.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide cashing duties at branches in accordance with company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance of the Daily Cash Log as outlined in the Standards of Procedures.
  • Preparation of the Daily Deposits in accordance with Departmental schedule.
  • Maintenance of the Company’s stock and log of deposit books and deposit bags.
  • Maintain and ensure the filing system for bank deposit slips & listings, LINX & credit card slips.
  • Maintain deposit summarized information for local branches and agencies.
  • Register outgoing mail and filing of documents.
  • Complete any job-related function related to the Division that may be required.

KEY TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the core principles of insurance and how this is applied on a day-to-day basis.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the range of insurance products and services available in the market and how that knowledge can be used to meet client needs.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and how to meet these on a day-to-day basis.
  • Basic knowledge of how claims should be handled and managed.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the underwriting process.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

  • A minimum of five (5) CSEC passes including Math and English (minimum of grade 2).
  • Certification in FIA or AAT (or pursuing).
  • Minimum of 0-5 years technical experience.
Hours of Work: 8am - 4pm
