To lead and manage the department with end-to-end ownership of staffing, operations, customer satisfaction, and profit and loss accountability. Ensure contractual obligations are met cost-effectively while maintaining security standards.

Main Responsibilities:
Commercial and Finance
- Achieve the budgeted financial targets and secure new customers.
- Manage the relationship between actual results, budgets and forecasts, delegating accountability where appropriate.
- Initiate cost-saving models and controls by managing direct wages, controlling overheads, improving service/schedule profitability, and minimizing or preventing claims against the company.
Leadership
- Monitor and address staff motivation levels
- Set and maintain acceptable standards of behavior at work by all subordinate employees, as required by ASSL’s code of conduct and disciplinary code.
- Optimize utilization of resources within the company to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Determine training needs (in line with training and HR policy) for staff.
- Staff turnover analysis, proper allocation of staff to positions and structure.
Effective Management of CIT Contracts and Customers
- Review and deploy resources, and thereafter continuously review operations to improve profitability and customer service levels. Make changes as necessary
- Undertake regular and consistent customer visits (as and when required) and assess service of personnel
- Handling all CIT customer queries and complaints
- Use CIT Systems and software to provide management information regarding CIT performance and to improve profitability. Ensure the systems are updated and maintained according to the Company’s guidelines.
- Effective management of the cash processing reconciliation process
Effective Management of the Risk Process and Compliance within CIT
- Manage and monitor loss prevention and loss reduction procedures
- Ensure and monitor adherence to procedures and policies around risk
- Ensure the adherence and correct utilization of company systems and procedures.
- Recommend capital expenditure for improved security
- Maintain and complete records of audits around risks/security for the operation
Health and Safety
- Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the safety plans for each year.
- Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks
- Report all safety incidents to the relevant personnel/authorities
- Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace
- Ensures that all relevant legislative requirements are adhered to and that Company procedures and standards (including Health and Safety, security, personnel, finance and Transport) are maintained.
Qualification and Experience
- Business or General Management qualification
- 3 years General Management
- Experience with Profit and Loss is highly advantageous
- Route optimization
