To develop, maintain and implement the crisis and continuity management and emergency response system for the business line..

Key Accountabilities
  • Identifies and responds to immediate (tactical) CCMER issues that are identifiedwithin the company’s operations. 

  • Provides prompt and efficient response to oil spills or leaks to assist the Company's IMT and spill response team in control, containment, and clean-up operations.  

  • Responds to medical emergencies under the guidance of the Company's Medical Advisor and Occupational Health Nurse to obtain instructions regarding treatment and conveyance to the closest medical facility. 

  • Provides support to the different Business Units for Natural Disaster preparedness, response and recovery. 

  • Provides tactical response to fire emergencies involving all classes, utilising Advanced Fire Fighting techniques to extinguish fires within and beyond their incipient stages. 

  • Responds to hazardous material releases and spills.  

  • Provides support for Rescue Services for Confined Space Entry, Work at Heights and Work within Excavations.  

  • Prepares reports from inspections and maintains files on all records. 

  • Conducts daily tests and inspections of all relevant response vehicles and equipment to ensure reliability and functionality.  

  • Conducts training and demonstration to Heritage employees (Fire Extinguisher, Fire Warden, Fire Safety Awareness) 

  • Designs, develops and coordinates CCMER weekly and quarterly drill exercises. 

  • Conducts verification of emergency response equipment and systems and manages the training of employees in their CCMER accountabilities. 

  • Providecoaching and support to contracted and in-house Emergency Response Teams to deliver continuous improvement opportunities. 

  • Drives improvements in the Crisis Management arrangements tominimize the risks for personal and process safety with the goal of "no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment". 

  • Conducts Annual Maintenance of Fire Extinguishers in alignment with the requirements outlined in the NFPA 10 Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers. 

 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent. 

  • Current and valid EMT-B certification. 

  • BLS-HCP (CPR) Certification 

  • Valid HAZMAT Certification 

  • Valid Defensive Driving or CEVO 3 and 4 certification.  

  • Valid Advanced Exterior and Interior Firefighting Certification with at least five (5)years’of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.  

  • Valid Class 4 or5 Driver’s Permit with five (5) years of driving experience, including Operating a Manual transmission Vehicle. 

  • Authorized Gas Tester Level (1,2 and 3). 

  • Process Safety Training for Technicians or related industry experience 

  • Certified Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician Certificate 

  • Valid Confined Space and High Angle Rescue Certification
