To prepares, and coordinates activities associated with the tracking and clearing of ALL imported shipments according to import/export regulations, while overseeing the preparation and scheduling of export shipments in a timely and efficient manner, at the lowest possible cost.

Develop and maintain a weekly shipment tracking and clearance report of all imported orders. Coordinate and complete the clearance of all imported orders in a timely and cost-effective manner. Serve as the interface between Customs, Government Agencies, Brokers, Hauliers, Couriers, Shipping Lines, and any Regulatory body relating to the importing/exporting all shipments to ensure compliance.

Review all documents, including invoices, bill of lading, airway bill, etc., to ensure completeness to enable the timely clearance of imported shipments. Coordinate the timely clearance and delivery of imported shipments according to the Company’s requirements and standards.

Coordinate and complete shipment booking with Shipping Lines and update the relevant booking records. Liaise with Custom Broker(s) regarding the preparation of documentation for export orders. . Communicate and update weekly shipment and tracking/clearance reports informing all shipments at the port, arrival time to plant, and shipments expected to arrive at the port during that week.

Coordinate and complete shipment booking with Shipping Lines and update the relevant booking records. Liaise with Custom Broker(s) regarding the preparation of documentation for export orders.

Retrieve Bill of Ladings from Shipping Lines after vessel has sailed; prepare and dispatch courier pack. Acknowledge all purchase orders received by email.

Liaise with the following personnel: Raw Material, Stores, Marketing, Sugar Warehouse and Full Goods Warehouse regarding the timely off-loading of containers to reduce or to eliminate unnecessary demurrage charges.
