About the Job Opportunity:
Work with Accounting Team Members to Support a Group of Clients
You will own the accounting for a group of small businesses located in the United States.
Your team members will be in Portmore and the United States. You will be supported by Junior Cloud Accountants in Jamaica, and you will reporting to a Cloud Accounting Manager in the U.S.
While productivity is important, we do not expect you to work more than 40 hours per week. A healthy work environment and culture is very important to us.
You will work in our Portmore office with an opportunity to work from home on Fridays after your introductory period. Save the time and expense of commuting to Kingston.
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
Ensures all expenses and associated disbursements are properly coded according to the client’s chart of accounts
Produce customer invoices from information provided by clients. Accurately post customer payments.
Maintain current and complete documentation of coding policies and procedures for the clients you support
Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
Oversee junior cloud accountants so that they update bank and credit card transaction ledgers weekly for clients, using electronic bank feeds into QuickBooks to reduce data entry needs, and reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
Promptly follow up and resolve uncategorized transactions
Manage Monthly Close and Financial Reporting
Maintain balance sheet schedules to support general ledger accounts. Typically this may include prepaid expenses, fixed assets, deferred revenue, accrued expenses, and payroll liabilities.
Prepare financial statements and other client-specific reporting.
Ensure work is completed over the course of the month to minimize month-end bottlenecks.
Communicate financial insights to clients
Communicate promptly and professionally
Respond to all client requests and internal requests within 1 business day and achieve deadlines on all client Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Express a sense of ownership over resolving open issues, proactively communicating internally with colleagues and externally with clients
Contribute to team productivity
Complete assigned weekly and monthly work by deadlines so that we close clients on time each month and meet reporting deadlines
Maintain technology expertise with systems we use to support clients
Be efficient with your work. Share information that will help others work more efficiently. Offer to help when you have time available.
About You:
You have a degree in accounting, business, or finance and 3-5 years of accounting work experience.
You are looking to learn and grow and advance your career.
You are organized and able to manage toward deadlines and effectively communicate and prioritize. Our team members must be comfortable working in a dynamic multi-client environment with competing demands.

Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
Long-term employment, not a temporary contract position
Salary based on skills and experience, expected to be in a general range of $2,500,000 - $2,850,000, and open to discussion.
Annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
