 We are seeking to identify Bussers/Food Runners who are responsible for excellence in guest satisfaction by helping the Food and Beverage Servers according to established standards and keeps dining area at all times.

POSITION DESCRIPTION/FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrates Margaritaville Core Values every shift.
• Ensures a Margaritaville experience for every guest, every time.
• Ensures that our guests receive prompt, friendly and personalized service.
• Acts as a final check on the quality of food and beverage items before they are served.
• Supports the culinary staff by ensuring that the correct orders, complete with special requests are taken to the guests.
• Ensure that food is delivered with a sense of urgency.
• Be knowledgeable on all Margaritaville menu items, retail and happenings.
• Knows all table and station numbers.
• Completes all opening, running and closing duties.
• Always be in the correct uniform.
• Anticipates the needs of your guests.
• Always thanks guests for dining with us and inviting them to return.

• Keeps the floors, surrounding work areas and the entire restaurant swept and free of debris.
• whenever possible, bus tables after each course of the meal (e.g. appetizer ware must be removed before serving entrée)
• keeps tables dry at all times (always have a clean, odorless table-towel handy)
• Bus and reset tables with speed and efficiency. ensures that there is adequate clean silverware for use in the dining room at all times
• ensures that coffee and tea (for iced tea) are brewed before the opening of the dining room
• replenishes the stock of high-turnover items (utensils, condiments, supplies)
• assists the Food and Beverage servers wherever possible
• keeps a weekly updated inventory of dining room supplies
• makes requisitions for condiments and supplies
• Always has a great attitude.
• Always is a team player and help out others whenever possible.
• Understands and utilizes all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program and reports any accidents to management.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures as established in the Staff Member Handbook.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Two years experience working as a Busser & Food Runner in a high-volume restaurant.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.
• Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma. Training in Hospitality/Tourism will be considered an asset. 
• Must speak fluent English. A second language will be considered an asset.

Physical Requirements

• 18 years or age or older
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment.
• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and reaching.

Work Environment

• Exposed to weather conditions and prevalent temperature changes.
• Subject to moderate to high ambient noise levels.
• Frequently required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
• Frequently required to wash hands and/or wear gloves.

Person must be able to work long hours, holidays and weekends, and be willing to work as part of a team.

The company will be required to apply for a work permit on behalf of successful applicants from outside the islands.
