GCG Ground Services (Jamaica) Ltd., a subsidiary of Goddard Enterprises Limited (GEL), is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries in the USA, the Caribbean, Central and South America, is seeking to recruit a passionate, skilled and highly motivated individual to join the team in the role of Business Support Coordinator in our Kingston Operations.

Job Overview

The Business Support Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the implementation of policies and providing support services for the company at the Kingston office. You will also manage and oversee the business administrative processes, airline/charter statistics and staff biometric system (fortnightly and monthly). Ensure deliverables in procurement and purchase order processing. Ensure standardization and accountability of staff within the department towards productivity by assisting the Station Operations Manager.

Excellent analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills. Must be deadline driven with good time management skills. A high level of confidentiality, reliability and responsibility is necessary. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and a high level of attention to detail.

 

 

NATURE AND SCOPE OF FUNCTIONS

  • Manage all airline/charter activities related to completing flight file covers, Station Activity Reports and flight scheduling.
  • Oversee and maintain with accuracy the employee biometric system to support the payroll functions.
  • Manage procurement functions to include quality management of procurement activities for Kingston Station.
  • Provide support to airline clients as needed.
  • Ensure renewals of building, equipment, and other essential items in completed in a timely manner so that the business activities run smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
  • Knowledge of budgeting, accounting principles and invoice preparations
  • Knowledge of Procurement procedures
  • Ability to communicate effective in writing
  • Ability to create business documents and contract
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Accounting systems
  • Strong budget development and oversight skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
