This position is responsible for assisting with overseeing and managing the Antigua and St. Vincent markets ensuring efficient and effective planning, organizing and management of the operations. Assists with the management/administrative aspects and has operational control of a range of projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assists with supervision of employees, including making decisions about evaluating, scheduling/work assignments, work procedures, resolving conflicts and training. Responsible for determining and recommending training needs and planning, coordinating, and overseeing the day-to-day operations.
  2. Directs customer service and support functions. 
  3. Serves as liaison to other team members, including interacting with managers of different areas of the organization, presenting findings to stakeholders and higher management as well as assisting with training and supervision of new employees and tracking and measuring staff performance.
  4. Assist to guide the efficient dispatch of sales and service teams, to ensure that customer top-ups and service requests are handled within service level agreements (SLA)
  5. Identify and minimize potential gaps in route collections.
  6. Support the credit and collections team in identifying and streamlining payment portals island wide
  7. Support resolution of customer-related issues throughout the business by delivering prompt, professional solutions for customer inquiries
  8. Drive operational strategy and planning by helping to develop and measure key team objectives.
  9. Acts as Manager in the absence of the Country Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in business process improvement, directly supporting business decisions
  • A Degree in Management or training in team leading would be an asset

  • Willing to deal with difficult customers/vendors and ensure full resolution of issues
  • Emotional intelligence, with the ability to build and maintain strong and useful external and internal relationships and partnerships
  • Self-Starting: Ability to take the initiative and follow-through to resolution
  • Team player with a sense of responsibility to the desired outcome of the team
  • Attention to detail, thorough and conscientious about using and providing accurate information
  • Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
  • Access to personal motor vehicle would be an asset
