Business Intelligence Associate

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ASSOCIATE

 

Purpose of the Role

To support the organization’s business intelligence mandate by compiling, analyzing, and interpreting both internal and external data and maintaining a variety of reports and dashboards.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) to track key performance indicators, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources (e.g., databases, spreadsheets) into a usable format for reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries and documentation for all reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate those needs into effective data visualization.
  • Present data findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
  • Stay current on the latest data visualization best practices and technologies.

 

Key Competencies

  • Proficiency in Excel and Business Intelligence tools, including Power BI.
  • Knowledge of SQL database and ability to write SQL queries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Highly confidential.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to deliver within agreed timelines with minimal supervision.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Excel and scripting languages.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
