The BIA will be responsible for supporting all areas of the organization in understanding and preparing data and reports for presentation or use.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Derive new insights from data to guide strategic business decisions.

 Utilize expertise in general insurance to enhance business intelligence tools and processes.

 Maintain accuracy and reliability of all data reports and dashboards.

 Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide actionable insights for the organization

Design and develop reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators in the claims department.

 Analyze datasets mined from database and data warehouse.

 Ensure data integrity by implementing quality assurance practices, identifying missing data, and resolving any anomalies with the assistance of the IT Department

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related analytical field

 Experience in data analysis in insurance or financial services-related products.

 Two (2) years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI

 Experience in identifying data trends and formulating comparative analyses.

 Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a similar capacity

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

 Proven experience of workload planning and delivery of key targets within a service environment

 Demonstrate a thorough understanding of general insurance principles and proficiency in reinsurance practices.

 Ability to analyse and manipulate data to produce informative reports.

 Possesses strong collaborative skills to effectively work in a team environment, coupled with the initiative to independently drive tasks.

 Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and mastering new skills.

 Competency in Microsoft Office suite especially (Excel) at an advanced level

 Great attention to detail, diligence, and results focused
