The BIA will be responsible for supporting all areas of the organization in understanding and preparing data and reports for presentation or use.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Derive new insights from data to guide strategic business decisions.
Utilize expertise in general insurance to enhance business intelligence tools and processes.
Maintain accuracy and reliability of all data reports and dashboards.
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide actionable insights for the organization
Design and develop reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators in the claims department.
Analyze datasets mined from database and data warehouse.
Ensure data integrity by implementing quality assurance practices, identifying missing data, and resolving any anomalies with the assistance of the IT Department
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related analytical field
Experience in data analysis in insurance or financial services-related products.
Two (2) years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
Experience in identifying data trends and formulating comparative analyses.
Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a similar capacity
SPECIFIC SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Proven experience of workload planning and delivery of key targets within a service environment
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of general insurance principles and proficiency in reinsurance practices.
Ability to analyse and manipulate data to produce informative reports.
Possesses strong collaborative skills to effectively work in a team environment, coupled with the initiative to independently drive tasks.
Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and mastering new skills.
Competency in Microsoft Office suite especially (Excel) at an advanced level
