A trucking company located in May Pen, Clarendon is seeking a hands-on and results-driven Business Development & Operations/Fleet Manager to oversee daily operations, manage our fleet, and drive business growth. This position is ideal for a highly motivated professional with experience in logistics, trucking, or transportation who can lead teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and achieve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet business targets.
• Ensure a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
• Oversee fleet acquisition, maintenance, repair, and replacement programs.
• Monitor fleet performance and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop cost-effective maintenance and replacement strategies.
• Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate team members.
• Address grievances and promote a positive work culture.
• Identify and implement professional development opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with partners to grow the business.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand the company\u2019s reach.
• Oversee procurement, utilization, and disposition of assets.
• Establish cost-effective operational practices.
• Ensure adherence to Jamaican laws and regulations related to fleet operations.
• Implement measures to maintain safety and operational standards.
• Stay updated on fleet maintenance technologies and best practices.
• Train staff on new technologies and processes.

 Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in operations and fleet management within logistics or transportation.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Expertise in asset management, cost control, and business development.
• Knowledge of Jamaican fleet regulations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
