The incumbent will be responsible for increasing sales and market share for GPS and telematics solutions.

Amber Solutions, providers of vehicle tracking and fleet management solutions, is seeking to hire a capable and driven individual, who has a track record of success in sales and business development, to fill the position of: 
                                            

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

The key duties of this position include:

  • Promoting and increasing the sales of Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking and telematics solutions beyond the existing client listing.
  • Promoting Amber Solutions and its products, through customer engagement, by calling, visiting or going online, attending events and any other sales and promotional activity deemed fit, in order to increase market share.
  • Conducting market research and using data analytics to prepare Prospect List based on appropriate target market.
  • Contacting new prospects daily and using strategies to close sales.
  • Preparing and submitting weekly Call Reports to management, which should encompass all contact details, and well as follow up actions and timelines.
  • Attending weekly meetings to discuss and apprise management on status of sales pipeline, loss business, follow up actions, prospect listings and strategies for garnering new business.
  • To set up and systematically maintain customer files, as well as to input current customer data collected from various sources.
  • Carrying out sales discussions. This includes making customer contact and giving customer advice, analyzing their requirements, product presentations and testing, handling objections and sales closure.
  • Receiving and making sales calls and email; informing customers of all relevant information including product details, sales offerings, timeline for deliverables, system updates, new products, and service, etc.
  • Issuing Proforma invoices.
  • Ensuring that all pending sales are finalized in a timely fashion.
  • Monitoring the punctual and reliable handling of correspondence covering the sale of products and services.
  • Coordinating with the Operations and Technical support of the business to ensure delivery of a positive customer experience.
  • Ensuring that the customer is fully aware of all aspects of the services provided especially those salient to their operations.
  • Receiving and resolving complaints and directing those to the relevant personnel for follow up action and resolution.
  • Developing and providing systematic after sales customer care to create the basis for repeat sales.
  • Participating in the Company’s training activities and attending meetings, as required.

 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • An Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent
  • A minimum of five years’ work experience in business development and sales
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Must have a proven track record of success in sales and business development.
  • Must be detailed oriented and have strong time management skills.
  • Must be the owner of a reliable motor vehicle and be the holder of a valid Driver’s License.
