The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the identification, development, and management of new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical sector.

 

 

Core Activities and Responsibilities

 

  • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities across the pharmaceutical market, including private and public sector clients, wholesalers, pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare providers.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
  • Develop and execute territory or segment-specific sales plans in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Directly supervise, coach, and support a team of Medical Representatives to ensure performance against sales targets and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular field visits, team meetings, and performance reviews to drive motivation, training, and accountability.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated client needs and long-term partnership development.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Ensure full compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations, ethical standards, and company policies across all sales and promotional activities.

 

 Qualification and Experience

  • Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or similar field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or business development, with a strong track record of success in B2B or institutional sales.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience leading or supervising a team

Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics, regulatory environment, and market access processes.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
