Reports to: Business Development Manager

The Business Development Executive will continuously attract and manage new corporate accounts within the assigned customer portfolio.  The main duties and responsibilities includes, but not limited to:

  • Achieve monthly sales targets within the account portfolio by maximizing face to face selling time
  • Continually develop new and existing business within account portfolio which spans various industries across Jamaica:
  • Qualify, initiate, contact and manage leads
  • Identify the specific needs of individual clients, departments and entire organizations
  • Drive revenues by developing creative customer propositions and implementing solutions and programmes at the corporate customer level
  • Creating annual account development plans for customer account portfolio
  • Regularly report to management on customer relationships, pipeline, forecasts and new prospects on a timely basis
  • Participate in sales programmes, trainings and events
  • Providing exceptional customer service and account development
  • Maintain profitable and long-term relationships with customers
  • Handle customer problems, complaints and questions appropriately
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism, knowledge and understanding of the company’s products and services
  • Act resourcefully and innovatively in solving problems and completing tasks assigned.
  • Communicate constructively to officers and team members on problems, ideas or any other insights to assist in defining new ideas, policies and procedures
  • Present a professional business appearance at all times

JOB REQUIREMENTS & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

  • At least three (3) years sales experience in a dynamic sales-oriented environment, preferably selling information technology solutions to corporate accounts, AND/OR Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management Studies, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Sound business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Keen intelligence and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well both in a team setting as well as independently
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Professional, creative and dynamic presence
  • Must be computer literate with a sound understanding of Microsoft Office’s suite of products
  • Willingness and ability to work long and odd hours
  • Own and operate to a reliable motor vehicle
