Business Development Agent

This role creates the foundation for developing and enhancing partnerships with key accounts and identifying and research potential clients. Coordinate with the sales team to develop mutually beneficial proposals and negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders.

         Principal Responsibility

• Support and execute the development of long-term and short-term strategic objectives to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, research, and lead generation activities.
• Ensure that communication is coordinated to support new product development, procurement, pricing and selling.
• Support forecasting activities and meet performance objectives accordingly.
• Analyze and maintain expenditure and margins to conform with budgetary guidelines and requirements.
• Provide standard department reports as required by the Commercial Officer on sales, new product innovation, competitive landscape and other subject areas as may be requested.
• Building Relationships- Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.
• Account Management- Manage existing customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
• Gather and analyze market intelligence to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
• Negotiate and close deals, ensuring that all sales activities are aligned with the company’s policies.
• Other departmental duties that may be assigned from time to time.
