OVERVIEW:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). 

JOB SUMMARY

As a Business Analyst, you will define business needs and requirements and recommend solutions that deliver value. You will work under the supervision of the Technology & Data team to create and support production processes and ensure accurate documentation. You will be a strategic problem solver who finds ways to continuously improve business processes and recommend options to resolve complex business challenges. You will also be responsible for communicating established processes to team members at different levels in the organization and ensure that concerns are addressed or escalated. You will be a specialist regarded as a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Delivery

•Uncover the underlying business challenges that need to be addressed and document any findings.
•Provide the necessary organizational and documentation skills to ensure that stakeholders at all levels of the business can easily share and understand relevant documentation.
•Design workflow charts and diagrams; study system capabilities; write specifications. 
•Create and maintain detailed documentation, including user stories, use cases, test cases and process flows.
•Recommend controls by identifying pain points and writing improved procedures.
•Assist in the development, implementation and support of business processes and solutions.
•Maintain user confidence and protect operations by circulating information to the right persons at the right time.
•Provide critical thinking and analytical skills to interpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for strategic decision-making.
•Validate processes and requirements with stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any potential issues.
•Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting highlighting relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
•Collaborate and facilitate meetings with Clients to fully understand process areas to determine process engineering and communication needs.
•Develop stakeholder and RACI Matrix dashboards for various business processes.
•Gather the materials necessary to understand the various process areas, such as previous literature, changes in regulations and organizational structure. 
•Understand the requirements and operating cadence of the Delivery Model Enablement(DME), key milestones and business objectives and deliver within those guidelines.
•Assist with impact analysis to support planning and documenting organizational change management.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

•Bachelor’s degree in General Management, Business Administration, Communications or related field from an accredited college or university.
•A minimum of Three (3) years of experience in business analysis or business process design.
•At least intermediate level knowledge of online and standalone online design and presentation software.


SPECIAL CONDITIONS

•Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment.
•Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities.
•May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays.
