The Business Analyst will utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to support key business decisions and improve operations at Caribbean Airlines. He/she will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare reports and presentations, and provide analytical insights.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst will utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to support key business decisions, improve operations at Caribbean Airlines. This involves monitoring various datasets, analyzing customer data, evaluating commercial strategy effectiveness and developing financial models and dashboards. The business analyst will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare reports and presentations, and provide analytical insights to guide decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for data exploration, a natural curiosity, and a willingness to test relevant hypotheses across various business areas.

 

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  
  • Builds, develops, and maintains reporting systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support and aid in key business decisions. 
 
  • Analyzes diverse datasets to identify trends, variances, and business opportunities for Caribbean Airlines.
 
  • Utilizes business intelligence and database tools to monitor and effectively answer enquiries about the organisation’s performance. 
 
  • Develops business cases and financial models to evaluate the financial viability of proposed business initiatives. 
 
  • Analyzes customer data to identify areas for improvement in the airline's operations, revenue generation and customer experience. 
 
  • Prepares clear and concise presentations, reports, and other communication materials that convey analytical insights and recommendations to executives and other stakeholders. 
 
  • Monitors and tracks key performance indicators and other metrics to measure the effectiveness of operations. 
 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives and monitor progress towards objectives. 
 
  • Identifies and recommends changes to the strategic plan based on changing market conditions or other factors. 
 
  • Works with cross-functional teams to develop objectives for the executive management committee. 
 
  • Participates in meetings and provides analytical support and insights to help guide decision-making. 
 
  • Continuously improves analytical processes, tools, and techniques to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 

 

 

 

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:

You must possess a first degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline and have at least three (3) years’ experience in a similar analyst function in a large multinational organisation. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of Power BI and have advanced knowledge of DAX and the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 

 

You will possess a strong business mindset, emphasizing profitability and efficiency, along with excellent communication skills that enable you to effectively interact at all organisational levels. The ideal candidate should be capable of engaging, inspiring, and influencing others while driving solutions as needed. Essential requirements for this role include robust analytical abilities, the ability to work independently, and strong project management skills.
