Brand Manager

The successful candidate will be required to develop, recommend and ensure implementation of brand marketing strategies in line with specified brand portfolio.

Job Title: Brand Manager 

Qualifications and Experience:

• First Degree in Marketing or Mass Communication or equivalent qualification.
• Two (2) years experience in sales or marketing in a similar environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Develops brand plans in line with the Company’s planned objectives in order to attain brand profitability.
2. Commissions research and analyses data to ensure that brand issues are understood and corrective action identified.
3. Manages advertising agency in order to ensure the achievement of brand objectives as per brand plans.
4. Defines parameters for trade marketing (merchandisers) in terms of weight, channel and numeric distribution, so as to achieve sales objectives and protect brand image.
5. Ensures pricing is in line with brand positioning in order to achieve brand equity and maintain portfolio approach.
6. Ensures current product and new product developments are in line with consumer needs, in order to maintain a competitive advantage.
7. Meets volume and shares of market (SOM) targets to create/sustain strong brands (growth targets).
