We are looking for a talented and motivated Bartender to join our team and serve delicious drinks to our customers. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing drinks, serving guests in a timely manner, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Leadership & Supervision:
• Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring efficient and smooth service.
• Mentor and guide bartending staff, providing training as needed.
2. Inventory Management:
• Monitor beverage, mixer, and bar supply levels, and place orders with management as needed.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to minimize waste and ensure accurate stock counts.
• Identify ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items.
3. Customer Service:
• Provide exceptional service to all guests, promptly addressing any issues or complaints.
• Prepare drinks efficiently and on time.
• Interact with customers to build rapport and enhance their experience.
• Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the bar.
• Take food orders, serve food and drinks, and clean tables as necessary.
• Recommend beverages based on customer preferences and needs.
• Ensure that bar items are not misappropriated.
4. Menu Development:
• Design and update the cocktail menu, incorporating current trends and customer preferences.
• Create new drink recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
• Train staff on the preparation and presentation of new drinks.
5. Cash Handling:
• Process cash and credit card payments accurately.
• Perform end-of-shift POS system reconciliation.
6. Compliance & Safety:
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar and dining area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Monitor and manage responsible alcohol service, intervening when necessary to prevent overconsumption.
7. Event Coordination:
• Collaborate with management to plan and execute bar-related events, promotions, and specials.
8. Collaboration:
• Lead by example, maintaining high standards of professionalism and work ethic.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Provide assistance to team members when needed, promoting teamwork.
9. Problem-Solving:
• Address and resolve operational challenges or customer issues that arise during shifts.
• Stay calm under pressure and effectively manage high-volume service periods.
10. Reporting & Communication:
• Report bar performance, staff issues, and other relevant matters to management.
• Communicate effectively with other departments (e.g., kitchen staff, management) to ensure coordinated service.
11. Professional Development:
• Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and products to continuously improve service quality.
• Encourage and facilitate ongoing training and development for bartending staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Certificate in Bartending, Mixology or equivalent
• Minimum 3-4 years experience in Bartending
• Must possess leadership qualities, proven experience as a supervisor is an asset
• Excellent Customer service skills
