Bartender

We are looking for a Bartender to join our team and prepare tasty drinks for our customers. Bartender responsibilities include but are not limited to studying drink recipes, serving guests in a timely manner, taking food orders, serving tables, and upholding the company's reputation.

Responsibilities: 

• Monitor drink stock and prepare a list of what is needed on a regular basis
• Prepare drinks in a timely manner
• Study each recipe and gather all the necessary ingredients
• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests
• Ensure appealing drink presentation
• Maintain proper procedures to maintain bar/equipment sanitation
• Take food orders from customers and send them to the kitchen
• Setup and tend to tables when customers are seated
• Be able to fold napkins for dinner settings 
• Clean tables after customers leave
• Assist team members whenever and wherever possible, promoting excellent teamwork
• Ensuring that all practices and procedures are always followed including Health & Safety controls / Food Safety
• Follow instructions from the management team and carry out miscellaneous duties as required
• Be polite, cooperative, and professional with any visitors and fellow team members at all timesm 
• Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring efficient and smooth service.
• Mentor bartending staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
• Monitor stock levels of beverages, mixers, and bar supplies, placing orders with management as necessary.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to minimize waste and ensure accurate stock counts.
• Look for ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items
• Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Interact with customers to build rapport and ensure a positive experience.
• Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the bar
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
• Assess customer’s needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Ensure that items are not being misappropriated
• Design and update the cocktail menu, incorporating new trends and customer preferences
• Experiment with and create new drink recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
• Train staff on the preparation and presentation of new drink
• Processing cash and credit card payment
• Tallying the POS System at the end of the shift
• Collaborate with management to plan and execute bar-related events, promotions, and specials
• Lead by example, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and work ethic.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Assisting team members whenever and wherever possible, promoting excellent teamwork
• Address and resolve any operational challenges or customer issues that arise during shifts
• Stay calm under pressure and manage high-volume service periods effectively
• Report to management on bar performance, staff issues, and any other relevant matters
• Communicate effectively with other departments, such as kitchen staff and management, to ensure coordinated service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Must have coaching, supervisory, and staff development skills
• Work experience as a bartender
• Guest service focused-Professional and Detail Oriented
• Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people
• Hands-on experience with various equipment
• Familiarity with sanitation regulations
• Up-to-date knowledge of drink-mixing techniques and recipes
