Bar Manager, The Hut, Little Jumby

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager, the Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bar operations for The Hut, Little Jumby.

Jumby Bay Island Company, LTD. has launched a stunning new Beach Club and Restaurant distinct from our Resort.   Recently opened on Little Jumby (Maiden Island), The Hut, Little Jumby is set to become the Caribbean’s most exciting Private Island Beach Club and Restaurant.  

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate daily floor and bar operations for the main bar and two beach bars, moving between bars to support the team and suit the business needs.
• Recruit, develop and lead and performance manage a large team to promote engagement and support productivity.
• Organise staff schedules to align with company budgets.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability and order products as necessary.
• Work with food and drink suppliers.
• Implement appropriate strategies to improve sales and control costs.
• Work closely with management to meet revenue objectives.
• Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly followed, according to sanitary regulations.
• Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
• Prepare detailed reports on a weekly and monthly basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

•  Open to residents of Antigua and Barbuda, OECS and Caricom (Caricom Skills Certificate required).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar senior management role in the hospitality sector.
• An advanced knowledge of food and beverage products. WEST Level 2+ preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and industry technology.
• A deep understanding of high-end service and offering.
• Strong business, financial, organization and communication skills.
• A firm understanding and years or recent experience of the Caribbean market.
• Knowledgeable in employee and industrial relations.
• Unquestioned integrity, discretion, confidentiality, and tact.
• Valid and clean driver’s license. Valid Food Handler’s Certificate (preferred).
• Full fluency of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
