Bank Recon/Cash Coordinator
The Bank Recon/Cash Coordinator supports the Finance Team with settling all overseas payment obligations and is responsible for the preparation of monthly payment schedules and purchasing foreign exchange. The incumbent supports the preparation of the annual budget and ensures the integrity of the information produced.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Journalize all Bank Charges, Bank Transfers and update customers’ accounts with Direct Deposits on a timely basis and reconcile all bank accounts.
- Prepare requisitions for foreign suppliers and pass to Chief Accountant for timely inclusion in Cash Flow and for payment and ensure that overseas invoices are processed in line with supplier’s credit terms and apply payments to invoices.
- Assess the overseas suppliers monthly payment requirements and ensure adequate USD is purchased to meet requirements
- Ensure assigned Audit Schedules are and presented for verification. Ensure all schedules are prepared in accordance with specific audit requirements.
- Ensure all expenses within the portfolio are posted within the month or accruals done.
The successful candidate should have:
- CAT Designation or Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
- 2 years Accounting experience
- Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills.
- Excellent time-management skills
