JOB SUMMARY

To provide exceptional internal and external customer service as per Company standards. Responsible for supplying the store with quality products in a timely manner and supporting all aspects of customer satisfaction. Prepare all menu items to order following standard recipes and procedures. Ensure health, safety and quality control policies and procedures are adhered to ensuring alignment with the company’s core values, Accountability, Care and Trust.

JOB DUTIES

  • Maintain a clean back-room environment and assist with housekeeping, including but not limited to washing, sanitizing and drying all utensils.
  • Ensure smooth operation of shift by adhering to scheduling of duties and rosters.
  • Responsible for the handling and baking of goods that meet Company quality standards in accordance with the baking schedule of the day.
  • Responsible for handling, preparing and cooking fresh and frozen meat.
  • Responsible for overall cleanliness of ovens, utensils, proffer and other equipment and machinery. Includes but is not limited to, baking pans, serving utensils, trays, shelving, showcases, wrappers and mixers.
  • Set oven temperatures and place items into hot ovens for baking.
  • Set time and speed controls for mixing machines, blending machines or steam kettles so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions.
  • Operate slicing machine.
  • Check quality of raw materials to ensure that standards and specifications are met.
  • Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations and perform maintenance or cleaning as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the machinery, equipment, storage and preparation areas – all to meet departmental standards and sales targets.
  • Responsible for packaging bread products.
  • Prepare food items, such as sandwiches, soups, salads, baked goods and rotisserie items.
  • Prepare all menu items to order following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.
  • Observe colour of products being baked and adjust oven temperatures, humidity or conveyor speeds accordingly.
  • Combine measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending or cooking machinery.
  • Communicate with Store Management baking schedule for products.
  • Communicate with Store Management regarding customer comments, complaints and overall product quality.
  • Check inventory daily for damages and expiries and count inventory for audit purposes.
  • Communicate with Store Management all maintenance requirements for equipment and machinery.
  • Enforce safety, health and security policies and procedures, ensuring food safety standards are met.
  • Participate in team feedback meetings.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the Company

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) O’ level passes including Mathematics and English.
  • At least 2 years’ previous retail or customer service experience.
