Bakers Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Baking and Preparation: Prepare, mix, using high-quality ingredients.
  • Recipe Adherence: Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistent quality and taste in all products.
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring that all necessary supplies are on hand, fresh, and stored properly.
  • Quality Control: Inspect baked goods for consistency, taste, and appearance; ensure that all products are of the highest quality.
  • Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Follow food safety and cleanliness protocols, ensuring all workspaces and equipment are sanitized regularly and that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other Bakery staff and team members to ensure smooth operations and timely production.
  • Batch Management: Manage the mixing process for large batches, ensuring the correct quantities and proportions of ingredients are used.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Prepare and organize ingredients, including measuring and weighing components before starting the mixing process.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain mixing equipment, including mixers, and other machinery, ensuring they function efficiently and safely.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and address any issues with the mixing process, such as ingredient inconsistencies or equipment malfunctions, and resolve them promptly.
  • Machine Operation: Operate various bakery machinery, including mixers, dough sheeters, and other equipment used in the preparation and baking process.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up machines for daily operations, ensuring that they are calibrated and ready to use according to production requirements.
  • Monitoring and Adjustments: Monitor machines during the baking process to ensure that they function properly, making real-time adjustments to settings and speeds as needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting parts to ensure optimal performance and to prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and address any operational issues, including mechanical malfunctions or product inconsistencies, and resolve problems promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Product Quality Control: Ensure that machines are producing baked goods to the highest quality standards, including proper texture, size, and appearance.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations when operating machinery, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
