The Auto Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, mechanical knowledge,

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Diagnosis and Repair:

    • Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and engine issues using diagnostic tools.
    • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and fluid checks.
    • Repair or replace damaged parts including brake systems, suspension components, exhaust systems, and more.
  2. Preventative Maintenance:

    • Perform scheduled maintenance services as outlined by the manufacturer.
    • Advise customers on the proper vehicle care and maintenance.
    • Ensure that all maintenance services comply with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  3. Customer Interaction:

    • Explain diagnostic results and repair options to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
    • Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services.
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service.
  4. Use of Tools and Equipment:

    • Operate diagnostic tools and equipment such as scanners, multimeters, and various hand and power tools.
    • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
    • Follow safety procedures when working with heavy machinery and hazardous materials.
  5. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

    • Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used.
    • Complete work orders and ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate.
    • Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
