To manage and organize the team in the execution of all projects and jobs in a timely manner, accurately and efficiently meeting customers’ demands. To identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and develop new business.

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, coordinate and manage the daily schedule for the technical support team to ensure timely completion of jobs. 

  • Plan, coordinate, assure progress and provide documentation on new installation and/or major enhancement projects. 

  • Provide leadership, guidance, training and workflow coordination for technical staff on new installation and enhancement projects. 

  • Assist Manager and Team Lead in developing and implementing long- and short-term plans for capital and operating projects and improvements for the Division. 

  • Design, implement, maintain and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, automation solutions, PLCs, and control systems for commercial and industrial purposes. 

  • Prepare and implement operating and capital budget for the engineering and capital construction projects. 

  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications. 

  • Ensure design and project execution adheres to all relevant engineering standards and industry best practices. 

  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards. 

  • Prepare specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment. 

  • Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget. 

  • Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs. 

  • Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects. 

  • Review projects and services timesheets and employees’ overtime. 

  • Ensure the award of contract, the planning and procurement of required materials are processed in a timely manner. 

  • Ensure that all approved variations with the relevant documents are communicated to the Project Site Coordinator and Supervisor. 

  • Conduct site visits and prepare bid documents and contracts for construction projects. 

  • Perform field inspections with the Client’s Engineer to ensure that all Punch A items are completed. 

  • Coordinate construction projects and liaise with contractors and consultants. 

  • Identify work opportunities and prepare or assist with the preparation of technical proposals. 

  • Negotiate or assist in negotiation with key Suppliers and Service Providers to improve cost structure. 

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual market update reports on new services, competitors and business opportunities. 

  • Communicate with existing accounts to increase and maintain levels of business activity. 

  • Explore new business opportunities and promote growth and expansion of the Department. 

  • Attend trade shows to exhibit products/services or conferences to keep abreast of the latest products and trends. 

  • Participate in marketing events and attend sales meetings. 

  • Manage the Customer Relationship Management database. 

  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas. 

  • Participate in the appropriate levels of product training 

  • Educate personnel on products lines assigned and where training was received. 

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with currentand prospective customers to generate new business for the organization’s products/services. 

  • Attend meetings as directed to represent specific interests of the Division. 

  • Perform any other related duties. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or Automation or an equivalent qualification.  

 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment, preferably in the Oil and Gas/Energy and Manufacturing sectors. 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience. 

  • Experience in PLC Programming.
