AUTOMATION QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Applications are invited from persons with suitable qualifications to fill the position of “Automation Quality Assurance Engineer” at Republic Bank Ltd.

The jobholder is responsible for establishing and implementing best practices for automation testing. The role is crucial for ensuring the quality of our digital products by developing and executing automated tests and improving testing frameworks. Working alongside the AQA Tech Lead, the AQA Engineer will contribute to elevating the quality standards of our software developments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Developing and maintaining automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance and reliability of our software applications.
• Collaborating with the development team to understand application features, user stories and acceptance criteria to create automated test cases.
• Contributing to the improvement and maintenance of automation testing frameworks to support multiple applications and platforms.
• Researching and implementing new testing tools and practices to enhance the automation testing process.
• Integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous delivery and deployment
• Working with the platform team to optimize the testing phase of the deployment pipeline.
• Executing automated test cases, analyzing results and reporting testing status to the AQA Tech Lead and relevant stakeholders.
• Identifying, logging and tracking defects and working with the development team to facilitate issue resolution.
• Collaborating closely with the AQA Tech Lead, developers, product owners and other team members to understand requirements and provide insights.

GENERAL QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

The jobholder should have:

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools, ideally Azure DevOps.
•   Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer, or in a similar role in software testing.
•   Five years’ experience in software testing and using automation testing tools

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
