Auto Technician/Electric Vehicles - Class B

 Key Responsibilities:

Diagnostics and Repairs:
Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards when
undertaking repairs.
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electric vehicle systems such as battery systems, motors, and
controllers.
Assist in the recharging of electric vehicles and the installation of charging equipment.
Conduct high-voltage system testing and repairs, adhering to safety protocols.
Interpret and apply information from technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EV
components.

Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on electric & internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles,
including battery checks, tire pressure adjustments and air filter replacements
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols when handling high-voltage systems and EV-specific equipment.
Customer Service:
Clearly communicate vehicle issues and repair options to customers.
Provide exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Supervisor and Service Manager to prioritize repair schedules.
Assist other team members with technical guidance on EV systems as needed.
Other:
Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs.
Stay updated with the latest EV & ICE technology and repair techniques.

 

Qualifications and Experience.
Valid B-Class mechanic certification.
Valid Trinidad &Tobago Drivers license.
Experience with electric vehicle repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of EV-specific components, such as batteries, inverters, and electric motors.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software used for EV’s.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

 

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, crouching, and lying down.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
