AUDIT MANAGER

 

PKF St. Kitts and Nevis is seeking a suitable person to fill the position of AUDIT MANAGER on our team.

Role Summary

 

Join our External Audit team and provide exceptional audit services for our diverse group of clients by helping them meet their reporting requirement through objective and independent examination of financial statements, timely constructive discussion with management on accounting and reporting matters, and robust and clear perspective to audit committees.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage the Audit process from planning to completion with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
  • Demonstrate an application and solution-based approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters through the preparation of financial statements and other information in compliance with these standards.
  • Identify areas requiring improvement in the client’s business processes and possible recommendations and prepare and deliver the Management Letter to be provided to the client.
  • Prepare general communications with clients.
  • Be accessible and provide service that consistently exceeds the client’s and firm’s expectation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence, change and shape the direction of a particular activity, either internally and/or externally.
  • Coach and stimulate more junior profiles in view of the right achievements and personal development and provide more senior executives with inputs in order to properly proceed to the performance review of counselees.
  • Provide on-the-job training for developing auditing skills and familiarity with audit methodology.

 

Skills and attributes

 

  • Autonomy in achieving designated responsibilities and fulfilling objectives. 
  • Verbal and strong written communication skills with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership and mentorship traits with ability to motivate and guide others.
  • Excellent knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience at audit manager level.

 

The remuneration package will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
