The position will be responsible for reviewing legal claims and providing advice or taking action to impel prudent settlement of such claims in keeping with the company’s interest, standards and ethics effectively and efficiently.

The candidate should have the following competencies and qualifications:

• Bachelor of Laws credentials

• Be a member of the Jamaican Bar or any other Bar in the Caribbean Region and must be practicing law in Jamaica or any other country in the Caribbean for at least three (3) years

• Must possess working knowledge of the Laws of Jamaica as well as any other territory in which the Company conducts business as it relates to insurance

• Possess excellent human relations skills

• Possess strong research and negotiating skills

• Strong team and collaborative skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Excellent human relations and organizational skills

• Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Word and Excel
