Job Summary

The Assurance and Compliance Associate (ACA) will play a critical role in the completion of all client files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards. This role includes preparing supporting schedules, workbooks, and other necessary documentation.  The ACA will report directly to the Team leader or his designate.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Client File Completion

  • Complete all assignments (audits, reviews, compilations, tax, etc.) with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and compliance with established standards.
  • Ensure client files remain up to date.

Supporting Documentation

  • Prepare working paper files, supporting schedules, excel workbooks, and other necessary documentation to support conclusion reached and documents submitted to clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure client files remain up to date.

Compliance and Accuracy

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data and audit documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and company standards.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Team Leader and other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments.
  • Collaborate with other team members to share insights and improve processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree inn Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent, or working towards certification.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in audit, assurance, or compliance roles.
  • Strong understanding of audit standards, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks, (Desktop and online versions) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using SmartAudit software would be an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
