EY Barbados is currently recruiting for an Assurance (Audit) Staff professional. This opportunity offers an excellent environment to learn and tremendous career potential.
Your key responsibilities
Recognizing potential audit issues or unusual relationships from basic analysis of the financial statements and communicating them to the team.
Clearly and accurately documenting the execution of specific audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives, client's engagement history, and planned audit approach.
Challenging procedures used in the past and attempt to enhance audit techniques.
Demonstrating professionalism and competence in the client's environment.
Maintaining a strong client focus, being responsive to client requests, and developing/ maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel.
Staying informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client's business.
Developing people through teamwork, integrity, and leadership.
Collaborating with team members to set goals and responsibilities.
Contributing ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members' views.
Using technology to continually learn, sharing knowledge with team members, and enhancing service delivery.
Bringing potential opportunities to the team's attention.
Seeking, developing, and presenting ideas to apply EY's knowledge and services.

To qualify for the role you must have
At least 1-2 years of working experience as an Auditor for an Audit Firm. Relevant business or industry experience will be considered as an asset.
An undergraduate degree in Accounting, and/or currently pursuing a professional accounting designation such as ACCA, CA, CPA etc.
