About the Role

The Associate Director, Monitoring & Client Reviews leads and oversees the processes to identify, assess, analyze, measure and manage periodic client reviews and transaction monitoring across all Lines of Business (LOBs) and leads a team who manages the day-to-day activities related to client monitoring ensuring that service quality and performance standards are met. The incumbent ensures the required LOBs meet the regulatory compliance levels for periodic client reviews and is responsible for monitoring systems and driving continuous improvements, while ensuring client satisfactions is consistently achieved. The Associate Director provides strategic support in driving and managing change initiatives within the unit and ensures the monitoring and review process aligns with business objectives.

 

About Success

  • Leads the team responsible for conducting day-to-day client reviews and transaction monitoring to ensure mitigation of business risks, minimise potential losses / reputation damage and ensure awareness of good governance practice and enabling / ensuring a strong risk and control culture.
  • Leads & coordinates the implementation of new strategies to address identified and emerging risks, along with the execution and administration of client monitoring activities for the business driving corrective actions and solutions as required.
  • Monitors & manages client matters and escalations to assist team in the resolution of same while collaborating with other departments as necessary to address issues promptly to provide opportunities and make recommendations for continuous improvement to drive corrective actions and solutions as required.

 

About You

  • Minimum of 7 years managerial experience in transaction monitoring and client management, credit risk, deficiencies, compliance, risk management or related field, preferably within banking or financial services.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis, client feedback and emerging industry trends.
  • Experience managing internal & external stakeholders, including third party vendors.
  • In-depth knowledge of regional legislation and best practices governing banking business.
  • Experience in developing, implementing and ensuring compliance with transaction monitoring systems and related regulatory.
  • Degree in business administration, finance, accounting or a related field & /Compliance certification would be an asset.
