Job Summary:

The Assistant Supervisor of Financial Services supports the Supervisor of Financial Services in overseeing the teller and customer service operations within the branch. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are conducted efficiently and accurately while maintaining a high level of customer service. The Assistant Supervisor will assist in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and implementing policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Supervisor in managing daily branch operations, including teller transactions, customer service inquiries, and compliance with financial regulations.
  2. Provide guidance and support to tellers and customer service representatives, ensuring they are trained in best practices and adhere to company policies. Monitor performance and provide feedback to enhance team productivity.
  3. Foster a customer-centric environment by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Ensure that all staff deliver exceptional service and maintain positive customer relationships.
  4. Oversee the processing of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals,  ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  5. Assist in the onboarding and training of new Team Members, providing ongoing coaching and support to enhance their skills and knowledge of financial products and services.
  6. Maintain accurate records of branch activities, including transaction reports, customer feedback, and staff performance metrics. Prepare reports for the Supervisor as needed.
  7. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies to mitigate risks associated with financial transactions and customer interactions.
  8. Work closely with the Supervisor and other branch Team Members to achieve operational goals and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  2. Previous experience in a financial services environment, with a focus on customer service and operations.
  3.  Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  4.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  5.  Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
