A major property management company in Kingston is seeking to employ an experienced Assistant Property Officer.

ASSISTANT PROPERTY OFFICER

Core Skills/Competence:

  • Good knowledge of electro-mechanical systems. 
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Great supervisory skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and 
  • Good writing skills. 
  • Knowledge of the Strata Acts.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Evaluate & Make recommendations about electro-mechanical systems for repairs, replacement, or purchase.
  • Planning and supervising building maintenance to satisfy the tenants and meet the company’s quality and financial objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities and effectively market the company’s property management services
  • Ensure that rent and fees are collected on time
  • Periodic inspection of properties to ensure compliance with standards and budgets for repairs\upgrades
  • Respond to tenants’ complaints in accordance with the company’s standards.
  • Timely preparation of periodic reports to the owners and management. 

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in property/facilities management.
  • A degree or diploma in a field related to the real estate industry would be an asset. 
  • Motor vehicle is desirable.

  • The successful applicant should be an analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Possess a high level of self-motivation and the ability to set and meet goals and timelines.
  • Work effectively as a team member; and must manage priorities to meet deadlines.

Applicants will be required to submit proof of training which will be verified. 

All new employees are required to submit a police report.
