Assistant Production Accountant

Salary 7,500.00 to 8,000.00

CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT (4 to 6 months)

The Temporary Assistant Production Accountant plays an important role in the preparation and submission of costings and payment documents. The incumbent also pursues payment approvals for select customers and tracks price changes in raw materials. S/he works closely with the Inventory Officer, so that they can perform these duties in either person’s absence. Work is done from Monday to Friday, 8am to 430pm. Special projects may require longer days or occasional weekend work.

 

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE...

 Prepare Costings of select raw materials and imported goods.

 Prepare relevant documents to obtain approval for payments for Foreign Suppliers.

 Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve the timely receipt of pertinent Q.A. approvals.

 Submit approved Foreign Purchase Costings and approved invoices for payment.

 Track and report on any price changes in Raw and Packaging Materials.

 Work closely with the Inventory Officer and collaborate with same to ensure up- dated tracking of inventory.

 Other duties as required

 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS THAT INCLUDE..

 An Associate Degree in Business Management or Accounting; completion of Certified Accounting Technician qualification

 A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Cost/ Production Accounting

 Experience in cost accounting in the food and beverage, or manufacturing industry would be an asset

 Any other suitable combination of qualifications and experience
