The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Manager with the creation, implementation and monitoring of all elements of the marketing strategy, leading to enhanced brand equity and the achievement of the group of companies’ objectives.

The Assistant Manager, is responsible for day to day operations of the function, the post holder will provide oversight and guidance to the team. The post holder will provide support to the Manager in delivery of all initiatives, projects and objectives.

Marketing & Advertising

  • In conjunction with the manager, works collaboratively with stakeholders  to develop the strategic marketing plan
  • Support the Manager in the planning and execution of all advertising and marketing programs, including which media to advertise in,  to support achievement of strategic plan
  • Manage the companies’ advertising activities, including, evaluating the ad campaign's overall performance
  • Negotiate advertising and vendor contracts
  • Measure and monitor the return on investment for all marketing and advertising initiatives.

Customer Relationship and Customer Service Management

  • Implements and monitors the Customer Relationship and Customer Service strategies to ensure that customer service is delivered within standards.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers aimed at generating new and repeat business
  • Monitor agency/ broker performance to ensure that they conform to  the Companies’ standards and targets
  • Make periodic visits/ contacts with branches, agencies and brokers to build strong relationships to ensure compliance, measure customer response and retention and other stated objectives.
  • Manage the Complaints Management process and act as liaison on the Companies’ behalf.
Product Development and Network Expansion
  • Support initiatives to better understand customer and market opportunities for businesses
  • Provide data to guide the company’s pricing strategies for products or services

 Stakeholder Management

  • Manage, develop and sustain effective working relations with stakeholders, Regulators, Technicians and other key parties to ensure that the companies objectives are achieved and a universally positive impression of the company maintained.
  • Develop an appropriate strategy for the effective management of relationships with corporate stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage strategic corporate events on behalf of the company 

Communication

  • Develops and implement strategies/plans to ensure effective communication for both internal and external use.
  • Supports the drive for employee engagement through effective internal communication.

Corporate Social Responsibility & Public Relations

  • Support the  maintenance of a favorable public image of the company through the effective implementation of our Corporate Social Responsibility Program
  • Develop content in conjunction with the manager and represent the company in different types of forums across the Caribbean
  • Act as Chief Liaison for Public Relations and Corporate initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in a fast paced organization with responsibility for the Marketing and Communications function
  • Over two (2) year experience in spearheading digital marketing initiatives for a medium to large scale organization
  • Experience in the Financial Services Sector would be consider an asset.
