Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Branch Operations (Duke & Tower Street) team in the capacity of:
Assistant Manager – Branch Operations
Manage and lead the branch operations and client service teams in delivering a superior client experience by coaching in accordance with the Sagicor’s service standards.
Champion client experience by proactively engaging and interacting with clients throughout the branch.
Lead on activities aimed at improving client loyalty results across the branch.
Ensure that team members adhere to all policies, procedures and security guidelines without deviation.
Develop relationships with service partners to ensure efficient operations of the unit and optimal client satisfaction.
Location: Kingston
As an Assistant Manager – Branch Operations, you will:
- Actively market/ promote the Bank’s products & services to obtain referrals.
- Monitor the timely processing of incoming client correspondence.
- Develop plans and strategies in collaboration with the Branch Manager and Manager- Client Experience to improve service delivery.
- Monitor client feedback and escalate as required.
- Conduct compliance monitoring according to operational guidelines.
- Monitor and balance all reconcilable accounts/ ledgers.
- Review and submit the relevant reports to the Compliance unit within the necessary guidelines.
- Manage overall responsibility for risk management.
- Monitor branch performance against profit & loss/ balance sheet.
- Ensure processes/ controls are in place & being adhered to protect all stakeholder’s interest.
- Conduct spot checks of all pertinent areas/ items.
- Conduct assessment of the duplicate keys/combination register.
- Monitor the maintenance of branch operations related registers/ records.
- Ensure all security equipment is functional and serviced in accordance with guidelines.
- Reinforce all relevant procedure/ guidelines when necessary.
- Ensure the timely opening of the branch/ vault in accordance with guidelines.
- Monitor dispatch of maintenance forms/ correspondence to branches or departments.
- Review and action all relevant end of day reports in accordance with guidelines.
- Verify that all outgoing items being dispatched are approved and recorded in requisite register.
- Ensure all unauthorized system transactions are actioned.
- Train, coach and mentor team members.
- Work with the Branch Operations team to manage workload, which includes assigning/ re-assigning team members based on client demands and traffic flow.
- Manage team members performance in accordance with Sagicor Bank’s performance standards.
- Complete performance appraisals within the stipulated timelines.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies, Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum five (5) years’ working experience at the supervisory level in a commercial bank.
- Thorough knowledge of branch operations including teller operations, customer service and cash management.
- Knowledge of Central bank rules and regulations governing commercial banking.
- Formal leadership or supervisory training.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Thorough knowledge of the Banks’s policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
- Motivator and team builder.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communications skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- People management skills.
