Our Client, Pastry’s Limited t/a Epicurean Fine Foods & Pharmacy, based in Antigua, is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Financial Controller. This position will be offered as a three-year contract and is open to Caricom Nationals who possess or are eligible for the CSME Skills Certificate.

Our Client, Pastry’s Limited t/a Epicurean Fine Foods & Pharmacy, based in Antigua, is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Financial Controller. This position will be offered as a three-year contract and is open to Caricom Nationals who possess or are eligible for the CSME Skills Certificate.

  

Primary Objectives:

The Assistant Financial Controller will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Financial Controller with all aspects of the Accounts Department for Pastry’s Ltd and its affiliated entities.

  

Summary of Major Duties:

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements for multiple branches on a timely basis.
  • Preparation of budgets.
  • Preparation of Cash Flow Statements and forecasts.
  • Preparation and review of other management reports as required by corporate and
  • senior management.
  • Supervision of Accounting personnel.
  • Maintain and update accounting and processing systems.

  

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants Qualification (A.C.C.A) – Minimum ACCA Level 2 or a Degree in Business, Finance or Accounts.
  • At least eight (8) years performing in the role of Accountant or Assistant Financial Controller.

  

Skills & Other Attributes Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of Sage AccPac and Counterpoint SQL.
  • Able to meet deadlines in a timely manner and work under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
