Requirements

• Two (2) years retail experience or 1 year buying experience or 6 months with BA/BS degree

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated to learn items, product categories and international logistics.
• Experience with AS/400, Strong Word & Excel skills required
• Strong Math Skills

Main Purpose

• Assist Buyer with vendor / item development / department related merchandise sourcing activities focusing on driving sales and attained gross margin income.

Skills Associated

• Maintain accurate vendor and item data in the AS400 system and update as necessary, communicate effectively with the Supply Chain Team to keep data updated.
• Manage the right communication with Supply Chain Team to support the correct flow of goods into the Clubs.

Key Responsibilities

• Awareness of seasonal trends and reacts accordingly. Work with buyers for appropriate planning and execution of seasonal plans and merchandise / market trends.
• Review all necessary reports in order to keep the proper in-stock condition at all times (low stock, over stock, late orders, projected out of stock, unusual usage, among others. Ongoing research and communication with vendors and logistics team regarding the most effective ways for distribution of merchandise and delivery to company facilities at the lowest possible cost.
• Support buyers to follow up with Compliance team all related to Sanitary Registrations for Private Label.
