JOB OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in our finance operations, contributing to various aspects of bookkeeping, financial reporting, analysis, and the delivery of accurate and timely financial information. This role will primarily focus on providing comprehensive support to the Finance Operations Manager in various accounting tasks including Group Reporting, General Sub-entity Accounting and Treasury Management functions. This position offers the chance to collaborate across teams, driving insights that support informed decision-making and business growth. 

  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
    • Prepare and post journal entries for general financial accounting.
    • Processes invoices for payment, ensuring the necessary approvals are attained.
    • Monitor banking activities and ensure compliance with financial policies.
    • Manage the fixed asset register, including properly accounting for fixed asset acquisitions, disposals and executing depreciation runs to accurately book monthly depreciation charges.
    • Perform bank, intercompany and other account reconciliations.
    • Assist with the preparation of key performance and monthly financial reports to support management in decision-making.
    • Prepare audit schedules and provide ongoing support for Group audits.
    • Contribute to the drafting of policies and mapping out accounting processes.
    • Assist in the implementation of accounting and reporting software.
    • Collate key insurance information to support the annual insurance renewal process and the Group-wide insurance claims process.
    • Maintain the contracts register for all ongoing Projects within the Head Office and Investments Division
    • Keep abreast of IFRS updates and engage in accounting research as necessary, for ensuring compliance of finance operations.
    • Handle routine administrative tasks, including filing and document organization.
    • Provide other assistance to the department where necessary, to meet the overall objectives of the department and the vision of the Group. 
  • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Pursuing ACCA (must have attained or nearing completion of level two), CPA or completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least three years’ work experience in an accounting environment.
  • Must have a reliable internet connection at all times during working hours.

    • Intermediate level skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft excel.
    • Familiarity with using accounting software.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new financial tools and technologies. 
  • Communication:
    • Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. 
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Capacity to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights. 
  • Team Player:
    • Willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
    • Flexible and adaptable to work in a busy environment.
Salary: $1,500 USD monthly
