The purpose of the position is to supervise and direct a sales team of territory Field Sales Agents. The Area Sales Supervisor’s role will be accountable for achieving the Area sales targets and the implementation of business strategies in the specified geographic territory.

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of the position is to supervise and direct a sales team of territory Field Sales Agents. The Area Sales Supervisor’s role will be accountable for achieving the Area sales targets and the implementation of business strategies in the specified geographic territory.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delight customers daily in keeping with the Customer Service Philosophy.
  • Lead the team in prospecting, growing and closing new business in targeted geographic areas.
  • Motivate the sales team by coaching and collaborating directly with all members.
  • Assist with creating and executing sales plans to achieve maximum growth potential in the field sales channel.
  • Oversee, monitor, and manage the Field Sales Operations in alignment with company objectives, policies and guidelines.
  • Direct support to the Field team for escalations and operational guidance.
  • Sales forecasting and daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the Sales Manager & Executive Team.
  • Assess and report on the brand’s movement in the market share versus other competitive brands.
  • Achieve maximum performance on agreed area KPIs and sales targets.
  • Generate and review daily, weekly and monthly sales performance reports and take steps to align performance with budget.
  • Analyse the productivity levels of each sales team member and suggest avenues to expand the profitability of the assigned territory.
  • Coach and develop sales team members ensuring that feedback is given in line with the Company’s Performance Management Policy.
  • Initiate relationships with key personnel in order to gain access to the opportunity to negotiate various sales activities within MDUs or Community sales drives to be executed in conjunction with Marketing.
  • Collaborate with other departments (internally and externally) to meet objectives.
  • Assist with various department responsibilities as necessary.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess an Associate Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Sales or related discipline.
  • Must possess 2 – 3 years supervisory experience.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a sales environment.
  • Experience in the Telecommunications Industry would be an asset.
  • Proven track record of success in similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong reporting skills.
  • Valid Driver’s permit.
  • Daily Access to a vehicle.
