JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Applications Analyst is responsible for evaluating, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing software applications to support business operations and objectives. This role involves analyzing user needs, troubleshooting application issues, ensuring software functionality, and collaborating with stakeholders to recommend and implement system improvements. Key responsibilities include performing system analyses, configuring applications, providing end-user support, and ensuring seamless integration between software platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to bridge technical solutions with organizational needs.

 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • A bachelor's degree in software development management, software engineering, computer science, information technology or a related field
  • Project Management qualifications
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in project management and software implementation
  • Hospitality experience
  • Experience in network security strategies and procedures
  • TCP/IP, DNS, Protocols related Internet experience
  • Experience working in a small team

 

Primary Responsibilities & Duties

 

  • Configure, test, and deploy new software applications and updates.
  • Monitor application performance to ensure seamless functionality and availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update application documentation, including user guides and technical manuals.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing application-related queries and issues.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff to ensure efficient application use.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical users to facilitate clear communication.
  • Monitor applications for potential security risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Ensure applications comply with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and updates to maintain data security and system integrity.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, software trends, and best practices.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance application efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of existing applications to ensure they meet evolving business needs.
