Roberts Manufacturing Co. Limited and Pinnacle Feeds Ltd, SQF certified manufacturer of shortening, margarine, soybean oil, animal feeds and dog food, invites suitably qualified applicants for the post of APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will support the Manager of Information Systems in the ongoing maintenance and optimization of the company’s SQL server and ERP systems. This includes installation, configuration, monitoring, and security measures to protect the network and ensure smooth operations.
• Installation, deployment, and troubleshooting of various Microsoft applications.
• Proficiency in the use of PowerShell.
• Database maintenance, administering database objects, and implementing event triggers.
• Application monitoring and database housekeeping.
• Tier 2 level basic support for end-users.
• Help desk management and enterprise asset management.
• Support for Office 365 applications.
• Collaborating with third-party IT applications and infrastructure support specialists.
• Project work to implement additional or enhance existing systems.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
• A Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Studies or Information Technology or a related field; OR
• An Associate’s degree PLUS 3 years working experience in a similar role.
• Certification in Information Technology from a recognized institution. COMP TIA Network and COMP TIA A+ would be consider an asset.
• Certification in Customer Service N/CVQ would be consider an asset.
• Proven experience in SQL Server, Citrix and wireless networking.
• Sound working knowledge of Office 365 applications.
• Basic understanding of IT equipment would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
