JOB SUMMARY

The Analyst and Fund Administration Officer is responsible for comprehensive data analysis, fund management, and industry research. The incumbent will be required to analyse member statistics, financial and industry data to ensure sound fund management, and provide insights to support decision-making. Additionally, the role supports public relations and stakeholder communication by preparing statistical reports, graphs, and data visualizations for publications, presentations, and outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Analytics & Industry Research
  • Analyse financial and statistical data to assess exposure, trends, and risks.
  • Monitor and report on local and global key financial indicators in the banking and financial services sector.
  • Conduct research on global best practices, early warning systems, and risk assessment models.
  • Develop analytical reports and dashboards to support decision-making and policy formulation.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and industry benchmarks
  • Continuously research and analyse local, regional, and international financial trends.
  • Use statistical tools and data visualization software to transform complex data into meaningful insights.

2. Fund Administration & Oversight

  • Conduct financial modelling, forecasting and stress testing to assess the resilience of the fund under different scenarios.
  • Assist in the development of policies and strategies for fund growth and sustainability.
  • Ensure appropriate tracking of premiums, fund adequacy, and performance.
  • Assist in developing investment strategies re: low-risk, high liquidity instruments.

        3. Risk Assessment & Compliance

  • Analyse members’ financial statements and risk profiles to identify potential threats to financial stability.
  • Assist in premium calculation methodologies and ensure timely collection.
  • Support the development of risk assessment frameworks
  • Participate in the calculation and review of premium contributions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks.

        4. Stakeholder Engagement, Reporting & Public Relations Support

  • Prepare statistical reports, graphs, and data visualizations for annual reports, board presentations, and policy discussions etc.
  • Provide analytical support to the Public Relations team, including data for public awareness campaigns, newsletters, and industry publications.

        5. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

  • Help update deposit insurance awareness materials, including website FAQs.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members on data analysis techniques, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the organization.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Admin or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, data analytics, fund administration, or a similar role.
  • Experience in deposit insurance, banking, financial regulation, or risk management would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or SQL).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for deposit insurance and banking supervision is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach.
