We are seeking a suitably qualified, self-driven, customer focused and detail-oriented individual for the role of Administrative and Accounting Supervisor

Key Requirements

• Maintain department objectives by monitoring the activities of customer service staff.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for submission to Management.
• Prepare monthly and annual statutory returns and filings with Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ), Companies Office and other authorities as per agreed deadlines.
• Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounting department.
• Prepare accounting records for auditing.
• Oversee the registration and regulatory compliance requirements of the Bank of Jamaica.
• Provide administrative services in the loan, financing, delinquency and collections portfolios.
• Maintain communication with customers via all available channels.
• Stay abreast of industry practices and financial services and products to meet customers needs and improve customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of an Associate degree in Accounting or other relevant Accounting qualification
• Supervisory Management certification and experience is an asset
• A minimum of three years’ experience in microfinance or financial institution
• Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills
